Well it’s a given it'd be in shock if it isn't Callum.
Jock says it is a flavour bomb..every single mouthful.... the broth the oil everything and reeked of mandarin
Jock says a joy to eat
Mel says there is a lot to be said to cram all that flavour in there.. a hug in a bowl

Jock said sugar milk cream vanilla and the ingredients no one gets is chook...what they thought of as rice pudding is chook, these people are nuts...........

take inspiration make a dessert that has a protein in it....

Khanh is doing Anchovy Icecream....god bless him... if you can get rid of the anchivy you have salt.... salted ice cream.............hmmmm
He is using peanuts and beer as well.
He is backing himself and using familiar SE Asian combos.k Khanh explaining his vision to Mel & the guest judge whose name I will just call J mel said you cant just add sugar and hope for the best


Jock comes up to Tessa who is lost. She really has no idea. He said this is an easy chance for immunity............yeah?
Chicken and spec is what she has grabbed. she figures it may lend itself to a bit of sweetness
coming to gether now.. spiced gel spicy skin and some sort of verbena rice
this challenge seems a lot harder than last night

now reece is doing a duck
and jock is curious.... duck floss with duck breast and a pile of other stufff. he has never made it before Jock said it is pretty hard to do it.... he is going to wing it

Emilias sorbet is very red.
she is doing well.... she explains it to mel and J... figs fig leaves coconut

45 minds to go

Khanh is excited about pushing the boundaries so he is going to use liquid nitrogen for the first time as well. everything seems to be going oky.... anglaise into the bowl and smoke comes from everywhere.. it froze instead...........no more anglaise

it is frozen solid. Funny that. That is what putting something at -196 degrees does.

callum watches reece with interest

Tessa has icecream in the churner and now she is about to fry off some pastry , she has made a granita, and some kataifi pastry to fry off..... J approves
Drool, Caramel and bacon. I could definitely eat that.

30 minutes left.

andy wants to know how the duck floss is going....
25 minutes to go. Andy is very positive for him. Reece is having a melt down Andy said just keep tasting

Emilia very cool and organised as usual.
Emilia says her pork tastes disgusting.
Just like pig in sugar syrup.
The pork tastes 'porky'
she wanted it promnent but as a dessert not as a roast.

Khanh has another go with the nitrogen he is so excited. His icecream has worked now.

reece trying his duck floss and it has worked! he offers Andy a bit.. and Andy said it worked....

10 minutes to go.
everyone is nearing the end.... tasting this and that. Khan needs to balance the salt an anchovy.... a bit of chilli he thinks....

5 minutes to go.
Mel and andy discuss her dish she is happy with what she has done

Reece using the liquid nitrogen to make a granita... it was a syrup....

em just keeps tasting..... seems to be there. wants it to look like a dessert with a hint of pork

Times up.
Reece is heartbroken because he thinks the duckfloss is wrong now.
His dish looks lovely.

She says she could make it in future but she doubts anyone would buy it.

andy is keen to taste....
Jock loves it, mel says it is cohesive and really fun to eat, Andy loves the raspberry and fig it lets the pork do its job.. J (guest judge) thinks is a great dish. omg he said it is one of the best things in the world....

Jock says lets taste it

The only way Tessa will win something I think now is if it is a guest judge and the others fail dismally, or Mel is away.
Jock loved the crunch, wasn't tokenistic, J loved it, not much chicken flavour but it was a dessert so that was how it was supposed to be.

Reece now. His dessert looks great. But he isn't happy now.

Andy is so nice with his comments - I really like that about him.
J tells him not to be negative. He likes it. Mel says the dish was fun to eat. Both Jock and Andy are telling him there is a lot that is positive, just not the floss.

Empty boxes - Today's mystery box is a real mystery box as the judges don't know what is going in it yet.

A big table and a bingo ball has come out
I love it when they have to use all of the ingredients. But it will be interesting to see how many they have to use.

The faces when the durian got pulled out is classic.
I think the faces in general as all the ingredients were picked was hilarious
