But she is undeterred, she smoothes the top over and resprays it
Now to finish her sorbet and make her gels

Tim looks to be almost done assembling
Nushie is starting to assemble now
She has it in the freezer to set whilst making her mousse and sorbet

Tim is demoulding - Gentle with the torch Tim
And it comes off nicely Rolling it in the coconut
He is worried about his biscuit texture He is spraying with 43mins to go
And it is in the fridge. He is onto his gels

Nushie has her sorbet churning and is spraying now
Lots of time needed for those She has both gels going at the same time
12mins left

Each vac cycle takes so much time
He is prepping his stuff for plating whilst the vac does its thing
Gels need to be silky smooth

Nicole has everything ready to go
She feels good as she starts to assemble it

Tim is working on his plating too
Nushie isnt plating yet and is still waiting on a gel with 1 min to go
Everyone shouting to get the raspbery gel
But she has run out of time
Judges are impressed with how they went with the cook

Nicole up first
She was the most controlled during the cook A very good effort
Finishing plating with her sorbet And off she goes so they can taste

Adam is cutting it
The insert has gone to liquid nicely Very good. Tastes amazing

Biscuit texture is amazingBeautifully balanced
All the flavours there She has set the bar very high
next
Nushie next She says she is always 2mins short
Looks good though Cuts nicely and is oozy
Mousse, coconut is lovely
But its a coconut chocolate dessert and raspberry is lost
too much ganache which has taken over and without the gel, there is no fruity element

Finally Tim
He is nervous
The biscuit is worrying him with the cocoa butter

He has a new respect for pastry chefs after this competition
Nice sorbet on top
Off he goes
Neat and tidy a good effort
Tasting now
They enjoy it
Subtle difference= Less of a chocolate hit but not inappropriate

An interesting tasting
All 3 were close
An amazing effort today
1 dish the biscuit was hard and the raspberry gel was missing
And that is why Anushka you are going home
She is holding it together. She knew
She has learnt so much from everyone and not just cooking
Matt picks her up with his hug

so sad to see her go

Tonight Simon, Tessa, Larissa, Simon and Nicole can cook whatever they want. Cook the dish they have wanted to put in front of the judges
They have open pantry, garden and between them can decide how long they get to cook
George is back, seems to have had a mishap with his eye which is why he missed the elimination
Tessa thinks she has changed since the start
Tim says he has gained so much confidence
Cooking for an advantage in tomorrows challenge
Win tomorrow and they go straight into the semi final

Advantages are everything at this point

No rules....thats always potentially dangerous
Are you sure you only want 75mins?
They dont want too much time, sometimes less time means better decisions
75mins starts now
Simon to his bench
Nicole and Tim writing their plans too
Tessa and Larissa straight to the pantry
Tessa wants to do roast chicken
She wants thr chicken on then will work out the rest of the dish
Tim is doing prawns and corn
He has a list of what he is doing so he doesnt put too much on the plate
He is trying to be restrained today
Larissa is doing a dessert with parsnip ice cream
Chocolate cremo as well
And pears in this dessert too
Nicole is doing chicken with mushroom sauce, picked mushrooms
The MC version of chicken schnitzel
1hr left
Tessa doesnt have her chicken cooking yet

She wants a light and fresh plate
She wants to use a lot from the garden
Gary thinks her plan is missing clarity
Confidence is good to hear but we want special
Simon is making a savoury porridge. He has tried a few times but never been able to get it right
He is hoping the masterclasses this year will help him get it right
Love how he is going for something he hasnt perfected yet
Simons dish has them interested
They like Tims dish too
45mins left
Nicole put black garlic under the chicken skin
Larissa has sherry vinegar caramel going
Some time regret going on, should have asked for longer
Tessa back in the pantry
She is doing kale puree and crispy kale
Simon trying to go and work on Tims station 🤣
Tim has been practising his dish, he has been working on the combos in his dish
He thinks it is too simple
So he is adding an avocado mousse
Gary likes the corn elements
But doesnt know how the avocado mousse is is going to work

45mins left
Nicole put black garlic under the chicken skin
Larissa has sherry vinegar caramel going
Some time regret going on, should have asked for longer
Tessa back in the pantry
She is doing kale puree and crispy kale
38mins to go
They picked the time but is it time enough?
Gary is worried Larissa hasnt picked the right fruit. The pears are not ripe enough
Nicole has lots to do still
Matt asking is there something missing from her dish. A crispy element perhaps

Nicole is running out of time
Larissa still has pears cooking

Nicky Whelan She is pushing forward with the pear but is worried about time

Plan B as a backup is to caramalise the parsnip too

Tessa chicken isnt cooked or golden
More time issues
They should have asked for 90 by the looks of it after all
Simon is happy with his broth
11mins left to go
Tim has ditched his mousse
Frying his prawn heads and cooking his prawns
Careful not to burn the spice
They look crispy and golden
5mins left
Larissa tasting the parsnips and pears
Parsnips have the wrong texture
She is going with the pears
Plating now
Her cremo hasnt set
So far only Simon and Tim seem to be going to plan
Larissa combining the chocolate cremo and sherry caramel to make a sauce
Nicole looking for something to cut through the richness
She decides on a taragon oil to add some freshness
3mins to go

Tessa is cutting her chicken
Is it cooked?
Chicken is still pink in the middle
She has it in a hot pan to finish cooking
Has she ran out of time?
Tim plating with shakey hands

His dish looks quite nice
1min left
Simon palting his savoury porridge
It is certainly different
He says it has come a long way from its conception but is it enough
10seconds and nicole just started plating
She has thrown things on the plate
Everyone asking why they didnt go with 90mins
Tessa didnt get everything on the plate
No quail eggs, no drumsticks
Larissa is proud of how her dish came out in the end
Tim and Simons dishes look really good
George cant decide on which glasses he needs to wear
1st to tasting is Nicole
She hopes they taste a chicken schnitty
A very simple looking plate
Putting more sauce and oil on the plate makes them more excited
Without the oil it would be a very bland boring plate to look at
Delicious
Chicken cooked perfectly
Puree texture is beautiful
George wants more than the pickled mushrooms
A good dish

Simon next

It looks nice too
Not what Gary visualised
Not what they expected
Nettle puree is delicious
They wanted a big cuddles but it is like bits in the bowl
A bit of everything on the spoon is delious but its graisn with gravey not a porridge
Tessa up now
She is semi happy
Thought she would nail it but didnt move quick enough and missed some things
Foundation of the dish is good
But she wasted so much time
hicken is dry
No crispy skin either
Things she likes but not necessarily together
Tim now
He is proud of his dish and it does look good
A dramatic plate
Synchronized swimming for prawns
Gary is pleased that the avocado mousse isnt there
Spectacular looking
All edible
Just enough green on the plate
Love everything about the dish
Puree is sweet with the charry elements
Lots of flavour but he edited what went on the plate
Honesty on the plate
Food with serious guts
Tim is winning right now

They love it
Ice cream is beautiful
Tuile is so delicate
Gary is in heaven
Wouldnt expect any better ina great restaurant

Nicole and Tim delicious dishes
So close but pipped at the post
Creativity in spades and had us licking our plates
Larissa wins

I wonder if the rulings by the judges are fair.

This makes me think he's not fair.
