Masterchef week beginning 26 Apr 2020
and here we are again
Contestants walk in to see a huge tv screen and no judges
Asking where are the judges
Andy on the screen Talking about coffee and a snack..a huge croissant
Now he is getting tacos
Talking about his day on a plate
Having a bbq now....steak cooking
Some anchovy sauce
Melissa now
Coffee and puppies!!!
Pillowpeach pie
Soba noodle salad and miso glazed salmon
Her husband and cat ghost.....having pasta now
cake for breakkie

A panchetta roll....mmmm
Caressing his pasta machine as Shell pasta from the machine is made
Lots of cheese on the pasta...looking good
then judges arrive Looks like judges day of food.. yep they have to choose one of them and cook anything they like from their pantry
they note that Jock has very few vegies

Ben says even though he loves mexican he is not doing it... he is unsure but dessert?

She is doing tacos with a pile of stuff... street food
Jock says very simple and nowhere to hide.
Dani is haunted about the thought of going home with the pin....now she is worried...do they w ant more than that?
tessa really going for the mexican flavours she tells us
rose is doing a play on peaches and cream.. will the panna set in time?
brandon some sort of handmade noodles I can do more than wontons and dumplings.... I learned noodles from grandmother Sarah praises it
Ben in black pressure is on all the time... not doing mexican want t o stretch myself salmon and walnut cream.. making it up as he goes along and that is scary... but he does seem to have an idea
Amina a..she is not doing lots of meat like we are used to.. she is using HP instead of pommegranite sauce she makes a paste of garlic oil and lemon and dding avocado for a bit of extra creaminess.
Reynald wants to push himself further and further
He is doing a dessert to look better and better
He has a lot of elements to get made
Sarah saying his meringue is so smooth that if cooking doesn't work out he can be a plasterer instead
His ice cream is churning
Now onto a whipped ganache.. it mustn't split... is there time...

Will the panacotta be ready in time? Jock tells her about how his mother did it and it upsets her.. too stressful
Adding more gelatine and back in the fridge, hopefully 1 will be ready in time...

She wants them to slump with the goodness... it looks lovely
Sounds crisp when cut which is perfect
Jock says unbelievable. A little bitter edge makes it perfect
Melissa loves it too
Says she shows time and time again determination taking it down to the wire
Brandon now

The noodle just never ends...finally Melissa gets it all in
Melissa says a smack in the face with flavour. She loves the texture of the noodles

melissa thinks it is over, the flavour balance of the walnut cream is out
Jock said the tail is almost like a tinned salmon... It is way too acidic for me.. my mouth hurts// it is at the bottom end of all the dishes.........

He is so excited to be doing a savoury dish in a team challenge
Harry is a logical choice as he is a seafood specialist. Reynold is the best cook from the pink team probably. Tessa is a good all-rounder.

Tessa is making confit calamari and scallops
Harry is doing herb and cream cheese mousse wrapped in kingfish
He is nervous
