Utensils

Post by Broadman » Wed Mar 15, 2017 9:29 am

In Aldi recently and purchased a mini wok and frypan. Must say I am impressed with them. Great non-stick (probably using some toxic substance that will give us cancer or something). Not game to use them in the oven though, don't think they would stand up.

We've bought a few pans, a couple slightly deeper with a lid and are happy with all of them so far.

The first pan I bought late last year is buggered now. We cooked marinated pork fillet on it and that was the something. I can't think of the right expression. Kiss goodbye? Final straw? Death of it? I'm not Englishing very well today.

Bought some new ones recently, working like a charm. I think these cheapies are just as good as long as you look after them.

I agree. And you don't cry all the way to the bank when you have to chuck 'em. You should see the state of my latest Scanpan wok. I would never have bought another when I threw the last one out but my darling son thought he was doing the right thing in replacing it. Bless him 💙
