he even puts it back in the steaming water.... and finally it comes out.. melting a bit.. he has another and has a go and this one is perfect...... he swaps them and sucks up the melted one in one go. hilarious

it has been so long... sorry xmas and all...will just give a brief recap and celebrate the winners or mourn the losers

tarts porcetta..... pork loin tied up and roasted...stuffed with giblets..mmmmm

um I think I prefer the tarts.... hope the judges dont

giles girls..... mud cake... choc and guiness cake with some weird sort of icecream
judges are keen

blue tarts have the pork in the oven
and guess what tiramisu..coffee jelly marcapone icecream and coffee marsala... bloody hell it sounds good

girls are making honeycomb too.. Judges a bit wary...whoopsy i think it is burned.. yes it is.. they start again.. old itais nagging.. take the temperature... 2nd batch... judges worry it is burned again... girls agree.... it is no good

bos tempering choc for a bit of extra pizazz... they are not the best at it... but are confident anyay

so the girls need crunch in the dessert.. honeycomb is stuffed... what to do.. they cannot waste more time on it but the texture.... aha candied raspberries.... crunch

boys very happy with both courses and are constructing the tiramisu/// Judges are concerned that freezing it will stuff it up... it will turn icy

back to the curry.. girls are very happy with that

and now the girls are using pasta too and Bottago freeze dried mullet roe with clams

blue tarts dad is over talking to the giles girls.... say what? fat uglies are saying dont worry .. but blue tarts are no where near as good as Giles girls at pasta say the judges

giles have a bit of an issue with the pasta.. not rested enough.... it keeps breaking ..persevere says Matt but the boys are way ahead and they are ready to plate

no the girls are catching up/// keep going....oh no they scrunch it up// judges freaking it was fine.. so they try again with a new piece.. judges are worried

so they try the boys dish.... Matt loves the pork so does Anna a great dish ... lacks finesse though

now the girls
mmmmm very well received... complex flavourome and wow says Matt
clearly the girl won this one
so neck and neck over the desserts

girls dish first... oh yum it looks great... so moist....... they are loving it...... so am I and i cant even taste it!!! Anna said it is their best dish of the competition

now the boys. it looks good... Matt cuts into it.. it is v ery firm... set rock hard.. tastes great though he says Parker likes the mousse as do the others
