Tati is doing chicken satay it is different from the audition one this one will be spicy

Jess finds her dough too wet,,,Derek s ays we have done this in the house but she added another egg.. too wet he is worried

she tries another piece of dough

Steph is very calm today

Mandy the judges are confused.. she says I cook it all the time and love it but have I made the right decision

mad panic in the kitchen

Steph is up first. looks very nice says Gary Nigella loves it.... gary my kind of food Nigella crunchy and slippery. Cravat praises Steph

Jess made wontons and they start nit picking at it...Nigella likes it... Gary likes the vinegar but doesnt get sweet potato cravat not keen on wrapper.. Gutzy says I wanted the condiment to be better than what I can buy in the jar

tati's satay..... Nigella loves the texture. nutty and hot Cravat and gutzy love it.... gary says sauce is very complex

Abbey... Nigella says it smells so w onderful I feel like I am on a terrace in Italy it all balances. gutzy loves the condiment and the fish and tomates cravat concurs

Mandy
Peri peri chicken with ver blanc sauce on cabbage... they try it gutsy say sauce is oka but dont like the rest of it.... Nigella says the suaces dont talk to each other cravat it is a missed opportunity to put it mildly

so the super chefs are here this week YAWN

tonight Rick Stein and he has set a mystery box
So Ricks mystery box contains
Tomatoes, Cuttlefish, Pine Nuts, Basil, Garlic, Raisins, Marrow bone, Chilli Paste
they have 75 mins must use at least one ingredient pantry and garden in play. winner goes to immunity and sits out the invention test top five dishes are tasted

Tessa desperately wants to be in the top 5. Rick is pretty much her hero
She is using the cuttlefish but has never used it before. she has a nice sauce in mind.. she thinks cuttlefish will be like squid

Abbey used to work in a seafood shop. She has sold cuttlefish but not cooked with it. She is trying to do different textures of cuttlefish...deep frying, pan frying

A lot of people seem to be using the cuttlefish

Tim is doing pasta with the marrow bone. mmm sounds nice

Blake is doing a dessert tomato sorbet

Steph is panicing again and doesnt have a clear idea of a dish
She has different elements but no real dish She looks like she is going to cry
After a chat with Gary and George she has finally come up with a dish
Roasted bone marrow with pine nut puree. basil oil full of flavour

Larissa is doing a pan fried cuttlefish with roasted garlic bone marrow puree tomato sugo and basil dressing. she starts her puree of bone marrow and garlic straight away

Tessa getting her chance to talk to Rick, she looks like she will cry.. she tries to tenderise the cuttlefish mmm he likes it

Gary and George didnt think Sandeep could pull and Indian dish out of the ingredients but he has. a burrata George is amazed

20minutes left

Abbey is really aware that the cuttlefish could go rubbery..she is using most of it and cooking it differently

Rick really likes the idea of Stephs pinenut pudding/puree...marrow and toms are in t he oven..she is aiming for it to almost like a custard

Matt warns Larrissa 14 mins to go and cuttlefish hasnt even been prepped.. the rest of the dish seems good.. so now she starts on it.... some of it is in the pan

tessa and Walleed both happy.....

Gutzy says start thinking about plating
Abbey has come up with chilli and raisin sauce
Sandeeps tomato curry is divine he feels and along comes Rick who tastes it.. mm and the burrata is good

Steph is happy with the bone marrow
Larrissa is hapy with her dish she usally does sweets.. but might do more savoury

Steph is up first
Roasted bone marrow with pine nut pudding and roasted tomatoes
Rick says best use of the marrow bones Smiles all round. I dont think Steph is breathing
Rick says if she see's it on one of his menus he will gice her credit. High praise

Next dish is Abbey Cuttlefish with tomatoe basil pesto salad and spicy raisin sauce
It looks great Gary likes the raisin sauce Rick Presented nicely and fish is cooked well A great dish says Cravat

3rd up is Larissa she is surprised and proud
char grilled cuttlefish with roasted garlic and bone marrow puree tomato sugo and marrow oil
Savoury was a massive challenge for her. She isnt sure how the fish is cooked
Fish is cooked nicely and the dish is caramelised. They love the dish. Heaps of praise

Sandeep next
Basil lacha paratha with tomato curry They love it. Crunchy says Gary and full of flavour used pepper really well
Delicious. Exquisite says cravat So much thought into 2 things bread a nd sauce says gutzy Sandeep is crying
Cooking to give pleasure is spiritual to him. He is happy they like what he cooked

Final dish is Tessas - Huge smile on her face
Conft and grilled cuttlefish with roasted garlic and basil sauce and caramelised chilli
tomatos ... mmmmm Well they are demolishing the dish on the plate. Rick loves it. A deep and meaningful dish

so who has won this.... all dishes were impressive..... three went for one dish ...Larissa... omg.... so technical..

Invention test two ingredients fish and potatoes....
make something special... love the idea of fish and chips but we dnt want to see 19 fish and chips

75minutes for an invention test. Open pantry and garden best three go for immunity
Bottom 3 tomorrows pressure test which is a horrible one and you dont want to go there

massive charge for the fish Steph looks for something she doenst have to bone or fillet

dereck gets his barra Leah gets a salmon, Steph grabs the whitebait.. good choice oh yum whitebat with anchovies

Tati. barra and spud curry with lemongrass rice she wanders off to the garden and gets banana leaves

abbey has the John Dory and is doing a mash pan frying t he fish and I hear tomatoes

tessa yakitori salmon skewers and a pile of other stuff I cant catch

Anushka couldnt find the fennel gary picks it up... why couldnt you find it oh I missed my visit to spec savers Gutsy laughs

Simon is doing a s auce that Matt is not so surr about reduced wine sauce pernod raisins..... will it overtake the fish.. Simon says he can do it

Blake is working on the hibachi which Rick wants

jess is doinga dish her mum loves a ree-et....

now Dereck is making potato scales .. you glue them together with butter and cook it gary is worried they wont stick together

tati is ready to wrap and they all want t o see it before she folds.. they a re very keen..... hurry though said Gary

so far no disasters

Abbey is telling us how to mash....butter and milk is good but so is cream girl.. more cream

Steph is delighted

Leah seems happy enough....... hmmmm Jap influence

now we start the panic..........

Patatas bravas with crispy whitbait
Steph transported then to spain. Sinplicity but lots of guts
She did what she wanted with the dish
recording cut out... rerun has long gone so have to cut and paste
Tessa next pan fried flounder with confit potatoes

Blake, charcoal grillled red mullet

Derek now He looks worried
Potato scaled barramundi with a butter sauce
Oh no, didnt like the sounds of that cut away....whats going on there?
Dereks fish isnt cooked he is so disappointed in himself

Abbey John Dory with caponata and dutch cream mash
lots of colour and looks tasty according to gary mmm it is wonderful and makes him happy antsmore but has other dishes to taste

Nicole next with a fish pie
Ben made beer battered snapper with triple cooked chips

Simon, butter poaches flounder with butter potatoes wrong sauce for the dish

Leah next
Yakitori slamon skewers with a edamana and kipfler salad
judges think its boring

Jess now she isnt sure she has done enough rainbow trout reit with potato chips
George thinks it is a bit flat

Tati now hope the fish is cooked
Whole barramundi and potato curry
Matt says if he asks more questions rick might throttle him
unwrapping the leaves now fish is cooked perfectly Tati is so relieved and is trying not to cry mark it off in the diary, cooked fish perfectly for rick stein
