Nicky Whelan Nicole and Simon are already through to cook in immunity, who will join them?

there are 8 ingredients under closhes
some star chef Jock Zonfrillo someone cooks Aboriginal foods
ben knows who he is
blind cloche pick
Christina gets Dorrigo Pepper
Ben gets White Currents
Anushka gets Lilly Pillies
Tati gets Aniseed Myrtle
Tessa has Native Lemongrass
Derek has Long Yams- Derek isnt happy He avoids yams chef said cook them in coals or in the earth
Larissa has Lemon-scented Tea Tree
Tim has Native Basil
Jock has given some advice with each ingredient but Larissa really wants to do a sweet not a savoury dish as he recommends

75 mins with an open pantry and the garden

3 way split, some to the garden, some to the pantry and some to their ingredient
Ben is doing scallops with white wine and pipi sauce
Tessa is doing Lemongrass smoked Rainbow Trout with a thai style broth

It is a similar dish to what got her into the competition

Derek doesnt know what he is making yet
Says his work is cut out working out how to use the yams
he is trying it in a few different ways and jokes about yam donuts

christina is doing beef with a sauce

Larissa has ignored Jocks advise to use the Lemon-scented tea tree in a savoury dish and is still doing a dessert
Jock doesnt look impressed when he see's she is doing a dessert. And more Parfait. Jock doesnt like her dish at all.

Anushka is doing a savoury dish as he recommended, a tuna tartare
Tim is doing chicken
Tati is doing Lamb Loin with curry sauce
whats happening in yam land
Jock likes that he is doing the yams in a few ways
He likes Tessas dish says she is on the right track
Larissas parfait is in the freezer she is the only person doing a dessert

Derek likes the fried yams but he is a bit confused
George is asking what is the piece of beef for?

Derek is cutting the steak and going to star the yams instead
larissa is making a snow
Ben has his butter made and is dehydrating citrus
he is pickling his currants and having some fresh too

30mins to go
Derek has pulled his yams out of the coles
looks interesting the taste is okay apparently, it is just really charred on the outside Derek likes the taste of it
Matt asking Ben where is the magic?

Jock is asking can Ben taste the currants in his dish?
Just a little bit
Ben has lost some of his confidence in his dish now

George likes christinas sauce
Tessa wants more punchy flavour in her broth
Derek is trying to work out what to put with his yams still he is now making a beef tartare
Larissa has her parfait out

derek is layering his dish, it doesnt make sense
he is lucky there is no elimination this week
1 min to go
everyone has something on the plate, some look a lot better than others
poor derek, he looks very defeated.

First up for tasting is Ben

Scallops and Pipis with white currents and macadamia nut butter
lots of texture which is nice. popping, crunching. scallops cooked nicely. the currants get lost

next is Anushka Tuna tartare with lilly pilly
Looks very vibrant with the pink
Very sweet, bent Georges brain
Jock says she is close, he can taste something nice but just needs balancing

Tati next. Lamb Loin with Aniseed Myrtle and tamarind sauce
George says her plating is different to normal
Tim next
Roast chicken, beatroot and mushrooms with native basil throughout
Super salty
good dish but too much salt says gary
Jock thinks the meat is a bit under cooked and not quite balanced

Christina next
Dorrigo pepper beef with pumpkin puree
looks like a good dish
beef is cooked nicely, puree is good. needed a bit more pepper but thats all.
matt is really happy with it

Tessa next
Lemongrass smoked rainbow trout with a sweet and sour broth
Jock loves itgood lemongrass flavour with the earthiness. balanced perfectly
restaurant quality dish
she is the dish to beat atm

next is derek
Derek looks terrified
cravat says he is lucky it isnt about the worst..gee thanks cravatt

massive issues with the dish. you have however used yams brilliantly
You knew it would be a difficult ingredient but you got something good out of it
he really does
You were onto such a good thing playing around with the yams, you just needed to compliment it
You had the hardest ingredient but you tried different things
Poor poor Derek
George takes Derek aside telling him not to beat himself up,
time to go okay when i go home im going to write some things down and work it out some of these ingredients even top chefs wont cook with
hugs for derek from george

in the end Tessa wins

immunity cook tonight between simon, tessa and nicole
if tessa wins today she will make MC history by winning 3 pins
billy is in the kitchen again today
ingredient for round 1 is belugiar caviar costs about 9000 bucks fot 1kg

matt telling them how to taste the caviar, pressing it gently against the roof of the mouth

60mins to blow their minds
tessa is a bit over-whelmed and doesnt know what to cook
nicole and simon are out of the pantry but tessa is still wandering around
billy saying she would use potatoes with a sauce
Simon is doing devilled eggs with caviar aiming for creamy and salty
champagne sauce with the eggs judges like the idea of Simons dish
the sauce will be in the mayonnaise mixture
Nicole is doing chou buns with bug and caviar filling
60mins to make that pastry is ambitious
Gary saying it isnt shiny like a choux pastry should be
she is trying to fix it
Nicole is doing a poached bug and yabbies
she seems to have a lot of elements she wants to do, will it be too much?
Gary thinks it could be too many flavours too
George says that the seafood is good but the other elements scare him
She looks paniced with 32mins to go - back in the pantry grabbing potatoes seafood and potatoes now

Simons eggs are cooked
bad puns from ben while his sauce is reducing
nicoles pastry is cooking and she is poaching her bugs
tessa is happier with her dish now - cooking her bugs now
so many egg puns coming from the balcony
Simons mayonnaise is too thin he has to remake it
15mins to go

Nicole is running out of time with so much left to do
with 3 mins to go she is feeling stressed
Tessa is plating but doesnt know if her potatoes are cooked
lots of caviar put in her sauce and mounds on the plate

and time is up
her pastry is out of the oven and looks good
10mins to go, not much cooling time

Tessa is working on her sauce
5 mins to go and her potatoes arent cooked
Simons mayo is better this time round -he is adding caviar to his eggs
piping the mayo mix on top
Nicole is also assembling

The faces being pulled they love it
George cutting the last one in half to share with Billy as the other boys grabbed a second one each too slow huh gutzy
Matt smashing the spoon on the table absolutely delicious

that was something we will never forget
high praise indeed
tessa is next
her plate does look pretty
she feels a lot of pressure
seafood is cooked nicely
again the faces say they are in heaven
gary banging 3 spoons on the table
delicious
potatoes are just cooked
top of the line, best restaurant amazing
treated with respect
dish could sit in a modern french restaurant in london
best dish you have put up
a fierce fight today
can Simon beat the girls to the line?
