Callum thought he needed to fight fire with fire and just found out Reynald has pared it back...so he will have to chew damn hard he says. early grey amd mandy ice cream and a barvois
it sounds rather nice.. he think 3 frozen elements might be too ambition

Secretly because I think that Callum was robbed last week I am hoping for him, but I don't think I will be with any of them getting in the immunity round.

At least though with only 3 contestants they can give them a fair bit of airtime each.

Reynald thinks his granita is too acidic not balanced so he Adds another component fejoas and mangosteen...adds texture and sweetness
he may end up with more than Callum afterall.

brendan happy with his chook.. but the sauce a bit too sweet... he adds vinegar

It looks very white.

Callum trying to do a 2hr dish in an hour frypans and pressure cookers

Reynald doing fish...sort of like a kingfish tartare wrapped in scallops
Seafood with japanese flavours you should watch him prepare tha t king fish... all sort of chinese flavours or Jap I hear... very technical dish will come down to execution.
Why is Jock telling Reynold what Callum is doing while he is getting his ingredients. Where is the level playing field?


Callum says he is doing couch food against Reynalds fine dining
Andy tells him to watch the clock as it could be his enemy too.

seriously reynald is making a scallops silk.. don't ask me,. it is all so complicated and intricate

His stock needs 26mins he has 30 left
But the pressure cooker takes 7 mins to open

negative 3 minutes to finish the dish. Callum is quite often the one that laughs about the fact he is doing a Poh.
he never takes his eye from the pressure cooker...
Or maybe he is going to win ..... who knows with the editing on this show

I'm curious as to how they picked the "heats"
looked like it was the way the lined up ... but maybe that was arranged also
Front row, middle row, back row by the looks,but were they told to stand in a certain place or just told 3 at the front, 4 next row then 4.

Brendan worried about how much Callum has to do,,,,he lists a pile of them
Callum wants a Delorean to nick back in time and change the order

Lid is off......she approves of the smell...... right..... oh my says Sarah on the gantry...
he is still worried aobut the duck leg.. hoping it is cooked enough to shred easily.. yes it is... still a lot of work to do

reynald is happy with what he has now.... even though it is a cold dish, it is packed with flavour///reynald just keeps working while the callum show is happening... he is going fo r clean acidic flavours instead of the big ones callum has

reynald has to get the scallops out of the bag.... Jock hovers....

Doesnt seem to have worked the way he wanted.....
Reynold is having problems. First real footage of him for the second round cook is him saying that he thinks he is screwed with 6 minutes to go. Jock says focus change tack.... it is sticking .. it tastes good , just doesn't look good

Callum really wants to beat reynald even more than he wants to win

Interesting is one word...really looks great
Jock says he really likes it all of it but
Really loves the dashi cream with lime
Andy says balance is a little out..... perhaps too much time on the scallop silk and not enough working on balance
At least he can still taste limes.
Mel says kingfish was a smart choice
She made a comment about the silk being a possible waste of his time too that may cost him
