We're going to a fundraiser at the soccer club. There will be platters of nibbly things to buy. My favourite kind of dinner. 👏

Chicken snitzel with a fennel and mango salad. Mango's are slightly green and are organic, from a friend's tree.

We had the schnitzels, green salad and a Greek village salad. Plus chips from the chip shop.

It ended up being not what I expected. The nibbly round was Greek village salad, fried squid, taramasalata, chickpea dip, fried saganaki, plenty of oiled and heated pita bread and a cooked thing with vegies and chorizo.
After that they brought out lemon baked potatoes, roast lamb and chicken skewers.
Watermelon was for dessert.
I washed it all down with some SSB from Driftwood winery. Fred's dad had beer.

I'm doing some of my famous rice for Fred's dad and me. We're having it with the gravy with little bits of meat left over from the beef cheek curry I made a while back. I had it in the freezer. My son and his gf had leftover polpette.

Yes, a bit. Fred's dads mum taught me to make it this way.
